JAZZ IN MARCIAC PARTNERS' CLUB

Despite its 47 years of experience, the success of Jazz in Marciac is a constant challenge. While its international reputation may lead to believe it was born in the blink of an eye, it is a complex and fragile enterprise difficult for observers to picture. It requires an annual critical examination and analysis and a large load of work, without mentioning a real risk-taking. It can be compared to the situation of an artist whose tireless efforts remain hidden from the public eye. Except that there is more than just one artist: with its forty administrators and a thousand volunteers, but also its friends, patrons, and sponsors, Jazz in Marciac point out the power of each individual when she or he works with others. This assembly of enthusiasts acts with all the more conviction and enthusiasm than, no one will dispute, our festival is unique.
