Building bridges instead of walls is the spirit of Jazz in Marciac and the MIMO Festival for their reunion as part of the 2025 France-Brazil cross-season program, organised by the French Institute and the Brazilian Instituto Guimarães Rosa.

More than ten years after their last joint efforts, this new collaboration will be the occasion of an exchange of good practices and excellent music! During concerts and masterclasses, French artists will perform in Recife and Olinda for the MIMO Festival, while Jazz in Marciac will welcome musicians from the Brazilian scene.

On both sides, the same creativity draws its strength and quality from cross-cultural diversity. Art and culture thrive on blends: it's more important than ever to affirm this in the current political context.

This is why this France-Brazil Season represents a valuable opportunity to relaunch a lasting partnership with clear ambitions: sharing skills, pooling resources, and establishing a cultural collaboration dedicated to our shared values.
